PROTOCOL 01

What the demo established

The official demo launch announcement describes a dynamic time-of-day system, visible city infection, reworked shift duration, performance bonuses, expanded isolation outcomes, mood tracking for isolated subjects, progression changes, additional visitor types, and new events. These are demo-era facts and may be balanced differently in the final build.

The checkpoint loop also supports papers, passes, manual checks, identity photographs, physical inspection, and containment. Use the walkthrough for the shared process rather than assuming every demo result transfers unchanged to release.

PROTOCOL 02

June 16 update changes

These patch notes are especially useful because they identify intended mechanics rather than player inference. They still describe version 0.0.1.105, not a promise that every control, timing value, or document presentation is identical in the full release.

  • Longer work shifts provided more inspection time.
  • A Start Day button let players review instructions before the clock began.
  • The Shift key switched quickly between desk and visitor views.
  • Incorrect passport or pass numbers were added to document validation.
  • Fake medical certificates became more reliably distinguishable and their tutorial was updated.
PROTOCOL 03

Review snapshot and full-release boundary

On August 10, the official Steam review endpoint reported 135 positive and 31 negative demo reviews, or 81% positive when rounded across 166 reviews. The statistic on this site is labeled Demo Reviews and dated so it cannot be mistaken for full-game reception.

Official announcements already name expanded full-version systems such as blood sample analysis, microscopic examination, and additional facility locations. This guide does not claim that saves carry over, that every demo strategy remains optimal, or that the closed demo is currently downloadable. Check the release page for the latest launch status.
